Halloween at the White House, 2019

This photograph of guests near the South Portico during a Halloween celebration at the White House was taken by Matthew D'Agostino for the White House Historical Association on October 28, 2019. For their third Halloween at the White House, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump invited local schoolchildren and military families to enjoy trick-or-treating and other family-friendly activities on the South Grounds. During the event, silhouettes of enchanting forest trees adorned the columns of the South Portico, while members of the United States Air Force Strolling Strings performed Halloween songs and popular movie themes amid rows of cascading pumpkins on the staircases leading to the South Portico.
